About the studio

Lu Canelas Studio

Opened in 2019 with a townhouse renovation for a friend's family, finished in nine months while Luciana was still on staff at her old studio. The next two referrals arrived before there was a website.

The bench is small on purpose. Sofía Velázquez has been the studio's project manager since the second year. Beyond that we keep a quiet circle of regular collaborators: a contractor, a millworker, a lighting consultant, and a handful of artists and ceramicists whose work appears across most projects.

Six residences a year. Never more than four in motion. Most clients arrive by referral, and most stay for a second project.
